Another You

One of the most heart-opening realizations I've had from when I was a child was that as intensely as I was experiencing all the thoughts, feelings, hopes, and anguish in my life, every single other person on this earth likely is going through the exact same process as their lives unfolded as well.

It was a realization that made me feel an unmistakable communion with all people. It was also a humbling awakening that forced me to admit that I'm no more worthy than anyone else, and that my comfort and satisfaction is no more important than another's.
I'm another you -- different maybe, but also very much the same.
