Nothing to Do

The older I get, the more clearly I find that the wisdom in rest is not in simply restoring and fortifying myself for the next "round," but moreso in taking stock of my situation and considering what is truly exhausting me. Is it my ego rebelling against inconvenience? Or maybe it really is a misalignment between my habits and the soul? Allowing myself to have nothing to do -- making time for nothing to do -- is a gift, because it gives me the chance to engage with silence and clarity.
